October 21-28

This past week we went on a field trip and brought home three "SMALL" pumpkins. We decided to carve them. The girls had a lot of fun doing it. They insisted on using spoons to get all the seeds out. You can imagine how long it took them to do this! :) At the end we had two smiling pumpkins and one that said I love (heart) D (for Daddy).

Last nigth some friends of ours (Sean and Kelly) invited us over to their home for a Fall Party. The kids had fun in their dress up dresses. And us adults enjoyed the fellowship! Sean and Kelly

Brian and Andrea Becky and Mike

Mellie enjoyed all the people that held her..

Julie Mac figured that using her fingers was a better way to play the game!

Rachael getting ready to suck a piece of candy to her straw to place it in another container!

October 14-21

Good Morning, just a few pictures to show you what we have been up to this week. It's been a busy week for which I am very thankful :)

Rachael putting together her own Chicken Burrito. This is one of Rachael's favorite meals!

Mellie is now "big" enough to sit in the tub with the girls. Rachael and Julie love having her in there with them. As you can tell Rachael is still a bit concerned about Mellie's safety!

Julie Mac is really getting the hang of letters. Friday morning she was eating an apple while I was cleaning a bathroom. All of a sudden I hear her yelling something to me. I go into the kitchen and she is proudly holding up her apple for me to see and saying "Look mommy a J". I thought it was a picture moment :)

Mellie is really one happy kid and here she is waiting for her breakfast!

The kids help me around the house. Julie Mac is helping me put up silverware. This is her "serious face".

Mellie is really getting around nowadays. She can roll any direction and she has also mastered the art of going from laying down to sitting up. Here she had rolled under Rachael's chair while we were eating supper. As you can tell she thinks it's a great place to be!

Julie Mac is back to playing without Rachael as Rachael is back in school. She has been building many interesting things. A House seems to be her favorite!

I had a friend over this past week and one of her little girls is just a few weeks younger than Mellie. They had a good time checking each other out. Lilly kept wanting to play with Mellie's toes!

Circus

Good Evening to all. There are a "few" people in our lives that are always asking for updates on our girls. And I think I am close to one of the worst people for either not taking enough pictures, or for leaving them on the camera for a VERY long time. Nathan and Rachel's creation of the blog for Rebekah has inspired me to make one for our girls. This will allow Griz to have updates as well as everyone else without having their mailbox filled to the brim. This also gives me a "new" weekly hobby as I am hoping to update once a week. So enjoy.

This past Wednesday we took the girls to the circus. Although we weren't allowed to take our camera inside we took some pictures of the kids outside.

Rachael and Julie posing before the little ponies who would only go in circles.

Griz and Mellie watched from a distance. Mellie enjoyed all the new sights she was able to see.

Julie watching the Lamas. They were very cool until they came a little too close for comfort. Boy oh boy did she back up! :)

After all the fun was over (they even ate cotton candy, and NO it hasn't changed a bit since we were all kids, still sticky and sugary) we asked them what they liked best. Julie Mac said the baby goats (they were outside as well and she would have stayed there all day). Rachael said she liked all the "things" inside, meaning the acrobats, clowns, etc)

This was taken one evening after a bunch of tickling.. thus the hair in the face look. Melanie wasn't too sure about all the giggling and screaming!
